Overview
Strategic Partnerships Associate, DACH & CEE (contract) at Airbnb. This temporary assignment will be working at Airbnb, and may involve working at an Airbnb site, contracted through Magnit Global, a UK registered employment business with the company registration number .

The role is a key member of a multi-disciplinary campaign team responsible for advocating Airbnb’s policy positions and coordinating strategic partnerships both internally and externally in the DACH & CEE regions.
Responsibilities
- Support partnership and policy engagement across DACH & CEE, with a focus on the German-speaking markets.
- Work closely with government affairs, communications, and cross-functional teams to advance Airbnb’s mission and ensure consistency across initiatives.
- Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders inside and outside the company; translate Airbnb's value proposition for partners and policymakers.
- Travel across Central and Eastern Europe and occasional travel within Europe and to Airbnb's global HQ in San Francisco.
- Represent Airbnb in external meetings with institutional and tourism partners, communicating values and advancing strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate agency and vendor relationships (e.g., agencies, designers, photographers) to align deliverables with team objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute high-impact policy events with partners (e.g., roundtables, workshops, and industry conferences such as ITB Berlin); draft invitations, briefing materials, speaking notes, and social media copy; manage guest lists and event logistics; provide on-the-ground support and post-event follow-ups.
- Ensure clear ownership and collaboration with internal teams—especially Communications, Public Policy, and Legal—delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Your expertise
- At least five years of relevant experience in project/event management and/or stakeholder engagement, ideally within travel, urban development, technology, or public policy.
- Proven experience managing partnerships with external organizations or institutions.
- Ability to work on cross-functional projects across teams and geographies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting briefing materials, speaking notes, and social media copy.
- Self-starter who can work independently, take ownership, and deliver results amid ambiguity.
- Professionalism and adaptability under pressure.
- Candidates must speak fluent German (native mandatory) and English; proficiency in another CEE language is an asset.
- Airbnb’s office in Germany is located in Berlin; the candidate should be based in Berlin and able to visit the office to meet with partners.
Pay and contract details
- Employment type: Contract
- Pay rate: 36.05 - 63.61 EUR/hour
