Overview

General Manager Finance Operations & Reporting — Hannover Re. Join the Group Transformation & Operations team at our headquarters in Hannover, Germany, on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date.

You can look forward to being part of an international team and contributing to the financial infrastructure, quarterly closings, and ongoing process and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Disciplinary management and further development of the department, as well as professional support of colleagues, including those at international locations of the Hannover Re Group
• Responsible for operating the financial infrastructure and contributing to quarterly closing processes in close collaboration with valuation actuaries and financial accountants
• Active involvement in key initiatives to further enhance and redesign financial processes and the financial systems landscape
• Ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a mindset of continuous improvement across all solutions in scope

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience with a focus on empowerment, engagement, and performance
• Deep understanding of financial closing processes, ideally with experience in (re)insurance or financial services
• Knowledge in operating financial accounting and reporting systems as well as in modern software delivery
• Sound knowledge of IFRS 17, HGB and Solvency II
• Experience in managing international teams and projects
• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Business Administration
• Business-fluent English
• An analytical mindset, strong solution orientation, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
