GDIT has an opening for a Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A) Field Service Representative to support US Army Europe as part of our EMITS program Team in Wiesbaden Germany.
HOW A DCGS FSR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A) Field Service Representative is responsible for supporting DCGS-A Family of Systems (FoS) server and software integration, systems maintenance, exercise and operational support, and other technical support as required for systems in support of HQ USAREUR-AF-G2 and its subordinate units in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A) Field Service Representative will be responsible for system maintenance and administrative functions including system configuration and modification; adding, removing, and replacing hardware and software items; system startup, shut down, backup and restore; database administration and maintenance; and system user access control.
Job Duties:
Performing Active Directory (AD) administration.
Configuring and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
Architecting and deploying virtualization platforms using VMware technology. Supporting Army and joint level exercises.
Providing on-site diagnostic and corrective actions.
Assisting in obtaining and maintaining all related information security documentation to meet continuous monitoring and compliance criteria Authority to Connect (ATC).
Performing analysis of system operations utilizing various operating systems and database management systems.
C onducting fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devices.
Troubleshooting and rapidly resolving problems with little to no oversight.
Creating exceptional technical documentation and drawings.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Security Clearance Required: An Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Experience: 2+ years of experience
Certification : must have a valid DoD 8570.2 IAT II certification; Computing Environment certification or any Microsoft certification.
Technical Experience: Performing Active Directory (AD) administration. Configuring and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems. Architecting and deploying virtualization platforms using VMware technology. Supporting Army and joint level exercises. Providing on-site diagnostic and corrective actions. Assisting in obtaining and maintaining all related information security documentation to meet continuous monitoring and compliance criteria Authority to Connect (ATC).
