Responsibilities

Package units at Uhde GmbH refer to self-sufficient sub-plants supporting main processes with utilities like steam or cooling water. As a cooling tower specialist, you will contribute to cooling water concepts and chemical treatment in international chemical plant engineering.

• Manage large GRP or modular cooling towers MWth), including chemical dosing stations and hydraulic check valves.
• Design cooling water concepts considering closed vs. open loop systems, basin design, and pump philosophy.
• Define layout and positioning of cooling tower cells, estimate dimensions and design parameters.
• Advise on site layout, participate in vendor audits, and prepare technical tender documents and specifications.
• Evaluate offers, clarify technical details with suppliers and clients, and oversee manufacturer activities post-purchase.
• Coordinate with related disciplines and participate in HAZOP and design review meetings. Support on-site inspections, testing, assembly, and commissioning, mainly abroad.

Profile

• University degree (Master's or diploma) in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering or related field.
• Professional experience in processing, plant construction, chemical operation, or system manufacturing.
• Proactive, clear communicator, structured, solution-oriented team player, willing to travel internationally.
• Fluent in German and English (C1 level).
