Chief Engineer (m/f/d) Telecom Satellite Programs

Your Tasks

• Lead andorganize the technical project team, including system and subsystem engineersfrom relevant departments
• Serve asthe primary technical interface to project management and the customer
• Define andmaintain system requirements and verification strategies in alignment withproject goals
• Review andchallenge ongoing development and technical designs; conduct independentanalyses and initiate corrective actions as needed
• Establishsystems engineering processes to coordinate efforts across Systems Engineering,Engineering, AIT, PA/QA, SCM, and Project Management
• Ensureeffective technical communication and collaboration across all projectstakeholders
• Organizeregular technical reviews; consolidate cost and technical data to definesystem-level budgetsEnsuretimely delivery of all systems engineering deliverables
• Supportproject management in risk assessment, cost evaluation, and overall planning
• Collaboratewith payload and satellite engineering teams to ensure coherent satellitedesign
• Contributeto studies and projects in the Telecom Systems business
• Supportcost optimization efforts for OHB’s telecom platform products

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 10years of experience as technical lead in phases C/D/E of space projects,ideally in telecommunication satellites
• Extensiveexpertise in spacecraft and subsystem design
• Strongbackground in the conceptual design of large telecom constellations
• Provenexperience across various Systems Engineering domains: Mission & SystemAnalysis, Interface & Requirements Engineering, Verification &Validation, Planning & Scheduling, and Technical Coordination
• Highlyself-motivated with a strong commitment to project objectives
• Able tocritically assess technical baselines and drive improvements
• Excellentcommunication skills and a strong team player
• Fluent in English and German
