Procurement & Logistics Engineering Specialist (m / f / d)

Are you excited to kickstart your career at the intersection of engineering and global supply chains? This 2-year opportunity will immerse you in high-impact development projects supplier interactions and strategic procurement—giving you real responsibility from day one.

Join our cross-functional team in Heidelberg where you’ll support the creation and optimization of products produced by highly automated and modern product lines. You’ll collaborate with R&D Engineering Quality and Planning teams working closely with suppliers to ensure innovation reliability and efficiency at every step.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product development projects as sub-project manager for procurement and logistics coordinating all SCM activities
• Collaborate with R&D Engineering Logistics and strategic suppliers to ensure transparency alignment and timely execution
• Develop plan and implement supply strategies for several categories with a focus on cost quality delivery and supplier reliability
• Lead or support negotiations with suppliers including renewing of price lists optimizing terms and managing long-term agreements
• Identify and nominate new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality team. Support their development to meet the required level for sustainable quality and on-time delivery performance.

Qualifications for the role

• A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering industrial engineering or business administration with a focus on supply chain or operations
• Ideally up to 3 years of experience (internships student roles or junior positions welcome) in procurement supply chain or logistics
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• High degree of flexibility team spirit motivation and the ability to influence at all levels in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Fluent German and English language at C2 level
• Willingness to travel (up to 25% mostly within Europe)
