Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of performance offers for the assessment of construction and safety engineering and signal engineering of public transport and railways, including fully automated driverless systems.
  • Prepare assessment reports for signal technical and integrated systems (complete rail systems).
  • Develop technical documents, checklists, technical notes and inspection reports.
  • Lead meetings, customer workshops and process inspections for the assessment of project-specific safety concepts and management systems.
  • Assess customer-specific risk management methods and risk analyses.
  • Conduct project management activities (contract, claims and change management; time and budget planning, monitoring of project status, project internal reporting and controlling).
  • Work in an impartial and non-discriminatory manner in accordance with the requirements of the conformity assessment body (KBS).

Qualifications

  • Completed studies in information technology, transport technology, electrical engineering or physics.
  • 5 years experience, ideally in the assessment of rail technology.
  • Experience in quality assurance, safety management, validation, assessment and certification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of rail-specific guidelines, regulations and relevant norms as well as the approval procedure of railway systems by national or local railway authorities is an advantage.
  • Experience in project business and in leading and controlling projects as well as interest in international projects and a tendency towards quality and safety management in rail technology.
  • Willingness to travel (including internationally) and fluent English and German (min. B2).
