Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer (m / f / d) to join our team on client site. In this role, you will be responsible for the commissioning, repair, and maintenance of advanced medical devices worldwide, ensuring excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our R&D and Customer Service teams to support product launches and ongoing technical improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently commission, repair, and replace medical devices worldwide.
  • Support initial system installations as part of global product launches.
  • Document service activities and technical results in compliance with internal standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to provide field feedback and technical insights.
  • Contribute to spare parts processing and inventory coordination.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of customer service processes, aiming to increase efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Support and collaborate on departmental and cross-functional projects at the client site.

Qualifications

  • Completed technical training in optomechanics, biomedical engineering, or a comparable field,
  • OR a degree in photonics, physical engineering, medical engineering, mechatronics, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in field service within medical technology, biomedical engineering, or optomechanical systems development.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Basic understanding of imaging techniques, ideally including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 quality and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent German and English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class B / 3).
