This position is based in Germany, preferably Munich / Berlin (Hybrid working available).

As a Senior QA Engineer , you will be part of our Quality Assurance Centre of Excellence — ensuring product quality, driving automation, and shaping scalable test processes in a dynamic and highly regulated environment. This is a hands-on role for an experienced QA professional passionate about building reliable, high-quality software that empowers trust in digital identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Test our software products end-to-end, ensuring functional correctness, stability, and performance.
• Identify, document, and track defects — collaborating with development teams to resolve them efficiently.
• Improve and refine QA/testing processes to enhance product quality and reliability.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, UX/design, customer support, operations, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Python and relevant frameworks.
• Operate within an Agile Scrum team, participating in sprint ceremonies and contributing to high-quality releases.
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Be part of the Quality Assurance Centre of Excellence, sharing best practices and mentoring team members.

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in software QA and automation.
• Strong hands-on skills in Python for test automation.
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Familiarity with UI/mobile automation tools such as Selenium or Appium.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Proactive, autonomous, and confident in making technical QA decisions.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); basic German language skills are a plus.

Bonus Skills

• Background in compliance-heavy domains (FinTech, Identity, KYC).
• Experience with performance or security testing tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-based test environments or containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
