Overview

Head of Global Risk Consulting Property role with global responsibility for Property risk engineering and risk consulting services.

Responsibilities

• The department is responsible for Property worldwide, with 9 regional managers and approx. 140 Risk Engineers for "Property".
• Development / enhancement of global risk assessment tools for Risk Engineers, ensuring efficient workflows
• Technical support for all Risk Engineers worldwide, enabling high-quality risk assessments and consulting services
• Preparation of technical notes for loss prevention and Risk Engineering Guidelines
• Close cooperation with Underwriting "Property" and Claims "Property"
• Alignment of KPI and services with underwriting - PML, NLE, discounts, NatCat scores, etc.
• Global resource and capacity planning, ensuring optimal deployment of engineering expertise across regions
• HRC Academy - technical training of all Property Engineers globally
• Global coordination of survey planning, including process design and execution support
• Coordination and execution of quality audits globally

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or related disciplines)
• Proven international experience in risk consulting, with a strong focus on property insurance and industrial risk
• Extensive hands-on experience in loss prevention, including conducting risk surveys and technical discussions with industrial clients—ideally within corporate groups and large-scale industrial operations
• Strong expertise in property risk assessment, particularly for severe risks with high loss potential
• In-depth knowledge of global property loss prevention standards, methodologies, and best practices
• Understanding of AI applications and their implementation in risk engineering
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate a global team of Risk Engineers
• Team-oriented mindset with experience working in international and cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills—verbal and written—to lead discussions, influence stakeholders, and represent the Risk Engineering function globally
