As Team Lead ERP Engineer , you will be joining our global Tech organisation and taking a key role in shaping and advancing our ERP landscape. In this position, you will lead a talented team, drive strategic development initiatives, and ensure our ERP systems evolve in line with our ambitious business goals. You’ll work cross‑functionally to architect scalable, high‑performing solutions that empower our international operations and deliver real impact. This position is permanent and based in Munich .
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- lead and mentor a team of MS Dynamics Business Central engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and growth
- define and own the Business Central technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, stability, and alignment with business goals
- architect and oversee customisations and extensions using AL and related technologies
- drive best practices in coding standards, release management, and quality assurance
- explore and implement new technologies, including Azure services, Power Platform, and AI tools, to enhance system capabilities
- provide hands‑on technical guidance on complex challenges and promote a culture of ownership and innovation
- collaborate with product owners, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver efficient, business‑aligned solutions
- ensure optimal performance, availability, and integration of Business Central environments
- shape ERP best practices, development standards, and quality processes across teams
YOU COME WITH
- 6+ years of hands‑on development experience with MS Dynamics Business Central or Dynamics NAV, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
- proven experience leading technical teams or mentoring developers in complex ERP environments
- deep expertise in AL programming, Visual Studio Code, and Business Central development frameworks
- strong understanding of system architecture, integrations, and performance optimisation
- solid knowledge of integration techniques, including APIs, web services, and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- experience leveraging AI‑powered tools and services (e.g. Copilot, Azure Cognitive Services, AI Builder) to enhance ERP functionality
- excellent problem‑solving skills and a track record of optimising Business Central performance
- strong communication and collaboration skills, balancing empathy and challenge with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- a proactive, strategic mindset with a passion for driving innovation and team success
- fluency in English (German is a plus)
