How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions using AI and machine learning, focusing on reinforcement learning for complex decision‑making.
- Design, train, and evaluate ML/RL models with real and simulated data, ensuring scalability, robustness, and integration into production systems.
- Collaborate across cross‑organizational, multidisciplinary teams to apply and implement new data science and AI/ML concepts, especially RL.
- Promote AI/ML adoption through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical training.
- Stay current on AI/ML and RL advancements and support their integration into the company.
- Collaborate in a partner ecosystem across industry and academia to drive research and leverage expertise, document methods, and present results to stakeholders internally and externally.
What You Bring
- Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- A longstanding experience, ideally in the energy sector or other domains involving complex systems and decision‑making.
- A proven track record in developing end‑to‑end AI solutions, including data acquisition, cleaning, feature engineering, model selection, training, validation, and MLOps.
- Strong proficiency in machine learning and reinforcement learning methods, including value‑based, policy‑based, and model‑based approaches.
- Hands‑on experience in Python and ML libraries (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch); experience with RL frameworks (RLlib, Stable Baselines, OpenAI Gym), simulation environments, and synthetic data generation.
- Excellent communication in English (German a plus), strong problem‑solving, customer focus, and the ability to collaborate in global, multidisciplinary teams.
