About the Role
As a QA Engineer at NeuroNation, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of our software products. Working closely with backend developers and the product team, you will conduct in-depth manual testing with a focus on backend systems and APIs. This position is part-time to full-time (minimum 30 hours per week), with the opportunity to take ownership of backend QA direction after onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with backend developers and the product manager to create and execute weekly sprint plans 
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions, providing insights on product quality 
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing on frontend and backend components, with emphasis on backend systems 
- Test manually and analyze APIs directly, ensuring seamless integration across the system 
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues, distinguishing between client- and server-side problems 
- Manage and complete testing tickets promptly within each sprint cycle 
- Proactively contribute ideas and generate new tickets to enhance product quality 
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in manual QA testing, with a strong emphasis on backend and API testing 
- Proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, or similar) 
- Ability to clearly identify, document, and communicate bugs 
- Strong analytical skills to distinguish between frontend and backend issues 
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
- Availability to work between 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM CET on weekdays 
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement 
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with payment testing 
- Experience with mobile app testing
