Join our 16-strong team from full-time in the software testing and quality assurance department of the system house for the production of the next generation of flight control systems as a

Test Manager

(focus on Human Machine Interface or Flight Data Processing)

Your tasks

  • Assuming responsibility for test management, control and in particular test automation at various test levels in the areas of flight data processing (FDP) and user interfaces (HMI and UI)
  • Design and implementation of test strategies and test concepts for functional systems (class A & B), including test automation architectures based on Robot Framework and associated libraries as well as multi-level test automation for functional and non-functional test aspects
  • Analysis and evaluation of complex requirements, error patterns and test results to ensure software quality and derivation of KPIs for continuous process improvement
  • Coordination and execution of test activities, including the creation of test procedures, test data and manual and automated tests
  • Ensuring compliance with overarching test, integration and development process requirements and further development of quality assurance measures and key figures
  • Leading and participating in interdisciplinary working groups and taking on complex special tasks

What sets you apart

  • Completed technical training (e.g. in the fields of computer science, mathematics, communications engineering) or completed studies (e.g. mathematics, software engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, physics) with several years of professional experience in the field of software test management
  • Highly confident handling of TA architectures based on Robot Framework and associated keyword libraries and distribution concepts and keyword programming with Python
  • Experience in the creation, implementation and realization of test concepts for highly available database applications or Qt-based user interfaces
  • Confident handling of container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) as well as development and test methods such as BDD, TDD and consumer-driven contract testing
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant standards (e.g. ED-153, ISO29119) and best practices in the field of testing, test automation and ATS systems
  • Experience in the application of modern software development processes and technologies, common tools, platforms and distributed system architectures
  • Knowledge of requirements engineering and project management as well as strong analytical skills and a high level of cooperation
  • Desirable certificates: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level, ISTQB CTAL Test Automation Engineer, ISQTB CTAL Test Manager, Robot Framework Certified Professional (RFCP)
  • Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
