We are looking for a hands-on, passionate, high-energy, proactive, dynamic Technician, with start-up, value-driven and consultative mentality, to join our team as Technical Field Service Engineer (f/m/d).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical service to customers in collaboration with the Global Customer Service (GCS) department and Sales, including on-site activities (maintenance Infusion & Pyxis products, repair, installation & implementation of CFN Infusion products, sales support).
- Operate the Technical Hotline and deliver technical training.
- Manage service contracts and coordinate service providers; handle service administration.
- Develop technical service function and strengthen relationships with sales, service, finance, and customer service to enhance the affiliate’s service offerings.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for product installation & implementation, repair, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Provide technical support and advice to customer service and sales for contracts and tendering quotations, applying appropriate controls and references.
- Represent the country for infusion pumps & Pyxis products with regard to escalations, complaint focus, and technical updates.
- Propose organizational improvements to optimize local GCS processes and identify opportunities for additional service revenue generation.
- Support GCS standardization efforts and ensure all service communications literature complies with BD Brand Identity and regulatory requirements in partnership with Marketing Communications and Regulatory departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Technical degree (Electronic or Biomedical).
- Experience as Biomedical Technician, ideally in medical devices; a new graduate is possible.
- Fluent in German; good knowledge of English (oral and written).
- Strong technical orientation with ability to troubleshoot and support proprietary and standard applications; capable of logical problem solving.
- Good skills in MS Office; IT basic knowledge (MSSQL Database and PL/SQL scripting).
- Ability to translate strategic vision into operational excellence; performance oriented with delivery targets.
- Ability to travel up to 70%.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to train others on technical matters.
- Effective collaboration across internal and external staff in problem solving and high-pressure situations; team player who works closely with Sales and Customer Service.

Salary Range Information
63,600.00 € - 108,100.00 € EUR annual
Location: Heidelberg/DEU with potential additional locations; Work Shift: Full-time.
