I’m working with a pioneering company in the medical devices sector, known for developing innovative solutions that improve patient care and transform healthcare technologies. Based in Berlin, my client is focused on creating cutting-edge medical electronics that are safe, reliable, and life-saving. They are now looking for a skilled Electronics Team Lead to lead a talented team in the design and development of their next-generation medical devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of electronics engineers in the development of medical devices, ensuring both technical excellence and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electronics projects for medical devices, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Work closely with R&D, product management, and regulatory teams to ensure product designs align with user’s and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design and development of medical electronics, including PCB design, embedded systems, and signal processing systems.
- Ensure that designs meet stringent medical device standards for safety, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, quality assurance) to integrate electronic systems with other components of the medical devices.
- Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure that medical devices meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, reduce time to market, and enhance product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing electronics for medical devices.
- Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
- Expertise in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCad) and embedded software (e.g., C, C++).
- Deep understanding of medical device standards, safety, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting and debugging medical electronics systems.
- Fluent in English (German is a plus).
