We are seeking a Junior Game Designer - Balancing to join our strategy game team and help shape the core systems, units and economy of our Free-to-Play live game which is played by millions.
In this role you’ll support the design and tuning of gameplay systems that drive competition, strategic depth and long-term progression. You’ll work alongside veteran designers, analysts and product leads to make sure our gameplay is fair, challenging and monetization-friendly without sacrificing fun.

YOUR MISSION
Balancing game systems such as unit stats, troop tiers, tech trees, battle outcomes and resource generation.
Support the design and tuning of events, PvP systems, PvE challenges and alliance features.
Use data simulations and live feedback to iterate on balance for both early- and late-game players.
Maintain and improve sheets for combat formulas, matchmaking parameters and progression pacing.
Contribute to the implementation of new units, commanders, buildings and tech upgrades with proper balance consideration.
Test balance changes and provide feedback on edge cases, dominant strategies and potential exploits.
Assist in documenting and presenting balance updates to both internal teams and the community.
YOUR BACKSTORY
Passion for strategy games (4X, real-time tactics or turn-based) with knowledge of meta counters and pacing.
A strong analytical mindset with attention to fairness, competitive viability and long-term engagement.
Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets with comfort in using complex formulas and balancing tools.
Basic understanding of free-to-play mechanics, power curves and player progression systems.
Team player with clear communication and a willingness to learn from feedback and iteration.
Nice to Have
Experienced with modding or designing content for strategy games (even as a hobby).
Familiarity with balancing combat stats, economy systems or tech trees.
Knowledge of SQL or game analytics platforms.
Exposure to Unity or game scripting tools.
