Growing our Western Europe Legal team, thisMunich based role will enable the LEGO Group to help support the growth across this part of the business!

Core Responsibilities

  • Revise, draft and negotiate contracts.

  • Partner with the Europe Central GM and Leadership Team.

  • Ensuring a high level of compliance within competition law and data privacy to the market group.

  • Provide legal advice to management and departments on compliance, and regulatory matters.

  • Offer legal training and mentorship to internal collaborators.

  • May manage large and sophisticated projects or processes independently.

  • Engage and coordinate with interested parties outside the organization at a medium to high complexity.

  • Work independently, recognized subject matter authority, able to mentor others, tasks are independently identified and defined.

  • Communicate directly with senior management, independently handling conflicts in negotiation.

  • Typically, end-to-end perspective includes understanding trade-offs for different scenarios.

  • Leading legal workstreams and negotiation in our Europe Central market, including collaborating with internal specialists and managing external counsel.

  • Collaborator management – from executive level to mid management and procurement and commercial specialist.

The WE Legal Team is a team with regional (Western Europe markets and IPR enforcement) and global (Facilities and Procurement) responsibility dedicated to providing legal assistance across our areas for key tasks and projects that support the LEGO Group’s strategic priorities and commercial agenda.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Minimum 5-6 years of (postgraduate) global experience from inhouse or private practice, including extensive experience with legal work and processes related to a multi-channel retail sales and marketing environment.

  • Collaborate and communicative attitude.

  • German and English speaking to a high level.

  • Demonstrated history of navigating sophisticated negotiations and leading collaborators effectively.

  • Strong commercial understanding across multiple levels of a value chain.

  • Takes initiative, recognizes and acts on legal issues.

  • Thrives in a fast paced and changing environment.
