Aufgaben / Responsibilities

As a (Senior) Engineer Network Planning & Optimization you are part of our expert team that plans, optimizes, and operates cutting‑edge transmission technologies.

• End‑to‑End Verantwortung: Self‑directed work in transmission technology covering engineering, planning, deployment, and operations.
• Netzwerkplanung: From high‑level to low‑level design and detailed system specifications for modernising networks.
• Technische Exzellenz: Execution of planning, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks on various transmission systems with the possibility of specialization.
• Kunden‑ & Projektmanagement: Coordination of inquiries, escalations and close collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Projektdokumentation: Structured and traceable documentation of work steps.
• Innovation: Development of customised solutions that set new technological standards.

Qualifikation / Qualifications

• Absolutes Studium in Informatik, Nachrichtentechnik, Elektrotechnik, Mathematik, Physik oder einer ähnlichen Fachrichtung.
• Umfangreiche Erfahrung mit Übertragungstechnologien (z. B. WDM, SDH, Ethernet, Next Generation ASON).
• Grundkenntnisse der Funktionsweise von Managementsystemen der Übertragungstechnik.
• Berufserfahrung im Übertragungstechnik‑Umfeld oder in verwandten Telekommunikationstechnologien (Glasfaser, FTTH, FTTB, IP).
• Erfahrung mit IPv6 ist von Vorteil.
• Ausgezeichnete Deutsch‑ und Englischkenntnisse sowie Bereitschaft zu deutschlandweiten Reisen.
