Overview
Business Development Director in Life Sciences at Visium. You will lead business development activities and act as the first point of contact for customers, partners, new joiners, and public authorities. You will drive growth and shape enterprise-level AI & Data strategies within the Life Sciences sector, with an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking, and strong relationship-building skills to influence enterprise-level digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth: Lead identification, engagement, and acquisition of new enterprise clients in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medtech, and healthcare organizations; develop and execute strategic outbound initiatives including executive-level networking, thought leadership engagements, and targeted outreach campaigns; qualify and prioritize opportunities to align Visium\'s AI & Data capabilities with client business objectives
- Solution Discovery & Client Alignment: Conduct discovery meetings with C-level and senior stakeholders to understand critical business challenges, regulatory considerations, and innovation priorities in life sciences; shape tailored proposals and presentations that demonstrate how Visium\'s solutions accelerate R&D, optimize operations, and improve patient outcomes; collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful execution of client projects and measurable impact; maintain deep knowledge of the Life Sciences sector, including trends in AI, data analytics, digital R&D, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape
- Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and develop junior business development and client engagement professionals, fostering commercial acumen and domain expertise in life sciences; drive a culture of collaboration across sales, delivery, and marketing teams to maximize client impact and market presence; define performance goals, track progress, and share insights to optimize team effectiveness
Requirements
- 6 - 8 years of experience in business development, client engagement, or strategic consulting, ideally within the Life Sciences sector
- Proven ability to drive enterprise client acquisition and revenue growth in complex, regulated industries
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and fostering commercial and technical expertise
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with executive-level stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinker, and highly results-oriented
- Fluent in English; German/French considered a plus
