TRATON Research & Development (R&D) is undergoing a major transformation to establish a strong, global Group R&D organization. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of HMI switch components
• Ensure compliance with all technical specifications and industry standards
• Collaborate with system architects and other engineering teams to integrate HMI components into the vehicle
• Define and execute validation tests, including Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) and in‑vehicle testing
• Act as the technical interface for international suppliers
• Monitor development progress to ensure quality, timing, and milestone adherence
• Analyze and resolve technical issues during development and in the field
• Continuously enhance component performance based on test results and user feedback
• Create and maintain technical documentation for components
• Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders

Profile / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HMI component development or a similar role
• Experience working in international and cross‑functional teams
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical components, especially switches and buttons
• Experience with system integration and validation in the automotive sector
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Intercultural competence and ability to collaborate across time zones
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
