The Security Incident Manager is responsible for the coordination of security incidents, including technical outages, cyber incidents, all‑hazards events, and third‑party incidents that could impact business operations or damage ADP’s brand. This includes prioritizing, coordinating, and documenting the details of identified security incidents.

The Security Incident Manager will act as a single point of contact during a reported security incident and work with business unit management, global security organization, communication, and legal teams to drive and ensure execution of activities within the framework of the incident response process, following ADP security policies and standards, including incident reporting, escalations, and notifications, and maintaining the Incident Response Procedures (Playbooks).

The duties performed by the Security Incident Manager are instrumental in assisting and meeting client service level agreements, contractual and regulatory obligations. The Security Incident Manager will maintain a strong working relationship with the business, products, services, IT, and GSO groups to partner in the execution of business security incident response activities, root cause determination and identification of applicable remedial actions. The execution of these functions is critical to client retention, client relationship and ADP’s brand.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technical outages, cyber incidents, all‑hazards events and third‑party incidents that impact or could impact business operations, by coordinating with the different stakeholders and experts from GETS, GSO and ADP Global Payroll teams, handled in a timely manner and in compliance with applicable ADP policies and incident handling procedures.
  • Develop and contribute to the communication content for root cause analysis, talking points for client account teams, and internal communications during security incident management.
  • Continually improve the security incident management process, and maintain all documentation in a central repository.
  • Ensure all security incidents are tracked, updated and reported with appropriate incident details.
Education / Experience
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent or equivalent job experience.
  • 3‑5 years of ADP Business Operations, Security, Risk, Compliance or related discipline of operational and business experience.
  • Background in financial services, HR/payroll, business process outsourcing.
Generic Skills
  • Good analytical, some technical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities and make quick decisions with limited information.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Collaboration across cross‑functional entities across the enterprise.
  • Experience in incident management and response including but not limited to analysis, containment, documentation of investigation results.
  • Exceptional organizational direction, time management, problem‑solving, prioritization, goal setting, leadership and motivation, negotiation, interpersonal relations, verbal/written communication, and human resource management skills.
  • Candidate must be able to pass an advanced background check.
Technical Skills
  • Familiar with security and IT related technologies;

    ability to interact effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences via both verbal and written communications.
  • Awareness of relevant compliance area (e.G., HIPAA, Privacy, PCI).
  • Ability to identify and ensure the timely delivery of critical information to internal analysis teams, sponsors, customers, and other interested parties.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work.
  • Ability to develop and explain technical decisions.
  • Ability to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information.
