Nanoligent is a biotech company, spin-off of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and Institut de Recerca de l’Hospital de la Santa Creu I Sant Pau. We are dedicated to drug design and development of targeted-therapeutic biologics. (

We are looking for:

A research scientist in the field of protein engineering and production

Tasks

- Experimental work of protein engineering and production (mainly in E. Coli ), protein purification and drug protein conjugation.

- Analytical development for characterization of Nanoligent candidates, at internal lab and externally.

- Non-GMP and GMP development activities of a protein-drug conjugate in collaboration with specialized CDMOs: Design and management of external activities like stability study protocols, scaling-up activities and industrial production of the company’s candidate under GMP-like and GMP conditions. Design of the analytical battery and specification profile, supervise the compliance of the Certificate of Analysis. Fulfilment of regulatory requirements throughout the process and problem-solving. Manage all necessary partners to accomplish Company’s milestones and chronogram.

- Data analysis and interpretation of results as required.

- Write reports and prepare presentation of the results and research conclusions.

- Participate in company’s scientific meetings.

Requirements:

- Degree/Master level in the field of Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry. Candidates with a PhD are also encouraged to apply.

- Extensive experience in molecular cloning and the production of recombinant proteins, and in their purification. Proven experience in Escherichia coli, and Eukaryotic systems as a plus.

- General experience in proteomic techniques and bacterial culture at lab scale and industrial production.

- Experience in drug conjugation or Antibody-Drug Conjugates is highly valued.

- Highly skilled in analytical protein characterization techniques at the industry setting. Extensive experience in analytical characterization of protein and protein-conjugates to fulfil pharmaceutical development.

- Minimum 3-years of experience in a CDMO or biotech company involved in similar activities.

- Highly motivated and organized candidate.

- Fluent in Spanish and English.

- Problem-solving mindset and used to performing in deadline driven environment.
