We are seeking a proactive PhD researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced methodologies for remaining useful life estimation of 4.0 drivetrains.
The successful candidate will work on a specific failure behaviour of rotating machinery assets during operation under uncertain conditions, targeting the estimation of RUL. The evaluation will consider uncertainties coming from different sources like material properties, manufacturing effects, and/or operation conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications- MSc degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Interest in developing and implementing a long-term research program leading to a PhD
- Capability to work independently and in a team
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong interest in machine learning
- Knowledge of mechanical reliability methodologies
- Experience with computing and high-level programming skills with Python and Matlab

OthersThe incorporation of the doctoral student will be immediate. The remuneration is generous and will be in line with the EC rules for Marie Curie grant holders. It consists of a salary augmented by a mobility allowance and/or family status, resulting in a gross annual salary of about €X.XX.
