Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Reporting IPC Systems is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Reporting to lead global audit and reporting processes for a SaaS-driven fintech organization. This role is based in Madrid, Spain with a Hybrid work type. Overview The position is part of the Accounting team with colleagues in the United States, Madrid, and Kuala Lumpur. The role reports to the Assistant Controller in the United States and leads the audit and reporting process for consolidated financial statements and statutory audits worldwide. Role and Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end consolidated audit process and coordinate approximately 23 statutory audits across multiple jurisdictions. Prepare and review IPC’s consolidated financial statements, including annual audited reports and quarterly lender deliverables. Ensure accuracy and consistency with U.S. GAAP, with SaaS-specific disclosures (recurring revenue, deferred revenue, contract costs). Serve as a key liaison to IPC’s Big Four audit partner and regional firms; manage timelines, audit schedules, documentation, and technical queries for consolidated and international audits. Compile and review financial statements and footnotes; ensure technical accuracy aligned with evolving business operations (SaaS, software delivery, cloud infrastructure). Provide guidance on complex accounting topics, including: ASC 606 revenue recognition for SaaS contracts, software development costs capitalization, ASC 718 stock-based compensation, business combinations and debt modifications, and ASC 842 lease accounting for hybrid work/global offices. Monitor new U.S. GAAP pronouncements and assess implications for a cloud-based business. Draft and update accounting policies related to revenue strategy, product bundling, and international expansion. Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are designed, documented, and effective; collaborate with compliance, operations, and regional teams on control needs. Participate in ad hoc projects such as M&A activity, finance systems upgrades, process automation, and IPO-readiness initiatives aligned with IPC’s SaaS transformation. What You will Make an Impact As IPC evolves into a global SaaS-driven fintech company, you will maintain the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting. You will lead global audit coordination, ensure timely filing with lenders and regulators, and support the adoption of new technical accounting standards. You’ll advise on complex topics related to recurring revenue, cloud-based offerings, and policy development to help IPC scale responsibly. Essential Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred Minimum 7 years of relevant experience (Big Four preferred) with public accounting and/or multinational company experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; experience with SaaS/recurring revenue disclosures Experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, business combinations and debt modifications Proven ability to prepare and review consolidated financial statements and lead global audits Familiarity with SaaS/recurring revenue models and cloud-based services SOX internal control knowledge; ERP and reporting systems experience (e.g., Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, BlackLine, FloQast); strong Excel skills Analytical, problem-solving abilities; able to interpret evolving accounting standards Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills Comfortable in a fast-paced, global, high-growth environment Desired Skills and Experience CPA or international equivalent (e.g., ACA, CA) 7 years in public accounting and/or multinational company environment; Big Four background preferred Experience in SaaS, fintech, or technology-driven models with recurring revenue accounting Ability to conduct independent technical research and draft accounting memos; assess new standards Experience with IPO readiness, M&A due diligence, or finance transformation is a plus Proficiency in ERP/financial reporting systems (Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, BlackLine, FloQast) and advanced Excel What’s in It for You?
