Position opened for Guadalajara, Mexico What you will do - Plan and carry out generative and evaluative research to inform future product work; - Combine qualitative and quantitative data - usability testing, JTBD interviews, open-ended “show me how you use it” interviews, simple and advanced surveys, card sorting, A/B testing, UX analytics, etc; - Screen, recruit, and schedule research participants to get the right attitudinal and behavioral findings; - Create, iterate, and outline on characteristics, needs, and requirements of relevant personas for product development; evaluate personas appropriately with end-users; - Interpret results and present findings to key stakeholders through impactful visuals and actionable research reports; conduct follow-up research to determine the success of solutions; - Collaborate with other researchers, UX designers, PMs, and engineering to ensure research translates into business impact; - Address scope creep through change order management in a proactive manner; - Mentor and coach junior UX researchers and newcomers on the team; - Be available primarily for US Central business schedule, but may need to overlap with partners in APAC and EMEA. Must haves - Commercial experience in UX Researcher or Usability Engineer roles, middle and senior levels; - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, such as providing effective stakeholder presentations and facilitating workshops; - Experience implementing User-Centered Design processes within an Agile delivery organization; - Ability to perform foundational, formative, and evaluative research tasks throughout the design process; - Ability to formulate answerable practical research questions and prioritize them across multiple research streamlines; - Attention to detail and mastery of information design; - Ability to invent custom methodology for persona development focused research if an existing research method doesn’t provide product teams value; - Experience with remote tools to conduct a research study such as UserTesting, Respondent.io, Qualtrics, Optimal Workshop, Figma, Miro, LucidSpark, LucidChart, Dovetail, Github, Jira; - Ability to work both independently and in a team; - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and cross-functional teams that are geographically dispersed; - A strong desire for creative problem-solving with a positive attitude; - Understanding of user-centered design principles, traditional design principles, and understanding of UX and interactive design trends. Nice to haves - Bachelor’s or MS in a human behavior related field, for example, four-years accredited institution in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors (Industrial Engineering), Psychology, or Sociology; - Equivalent and demonstrable work experience if there is no academic background.
