We are seeking an Associate Strategy Consultant to join ARCHIMED’s Consulting Team in Lyon. The role focuses on strengthening internal market intelligence for the investment team and portfolio companies, with a emphasis on Healthcare and Life Sciences.

Your Role

You will join ARCHIMED Consulting Team and play an instrumental role in enhancing and scaling our internal market intelligence initiative for the investment team and portfolio companies. We seek a Consultant with a strong background in Healthcare and Life Sciences consulting who can combine deep scientific knowledge with business and strategic acumen.

As an Associate you will lead internal commercial due diligences, optimize the due diligence process, mentor and train internally, and manage relationships with external advisors. You will participate in ARCHIMED’s strategic reflection within sector teams and contribute to target market prioritization. You will also contribute to shaping and delivering large-scale value creation initiatives for portfolio companies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Identify new sub-sectors of investment and build our investment thesis
• Organize and deliver sub-sector deep dives
• Conduct internal commercial due diligences on targets and exit diligences
• Manage strategic assessment projects for portfolio companies
• Reinforce our healthcare sector market watch
• Handle partnerships with strategy consulting providers and oversee external CDD or strategy projects
• Develop internal market intelligence culture by delivering focused trainings

Requirements

Aptitudes and Skills we look for:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related discipline
• Experienced strategy consulting professional with 5 to 7 years in HealthCare / Life Sciences strategy consulting, corporate development, Venture Capital / Private Equity, with strong due diligence exposure
• Strong problem-solving, research and analytical capabilities; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to bridge scientific depth and business strategy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, analytical, team-driven environment
• Business acumen to identify emerging sector trends and to build or challenge an investment thesis
• Leadership to drive decisions in deal processes or with portfolio companies
• Strong communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Hands-on, agile attitude; ability to work in close team dynamics
• Fluent English
