🚀 Navigation Systems Engineer

Job Description

Vacancy for a Navigation Engineer within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the Engineering Department focused on Navigation Systems (Navigation Sensors, Radio Navigation, Satellite Navigation, Mil Hybrid Sensors, Mil Radio Navigation).

Responsibilities

• Identify necessary activities of the development life cycle to develop a system or product and provide level of confidence consistent with regulation and program requirements.
• Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectations aligned with program phases and gates.
• Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in system architecture models and views, and in accordance with the allocated requirements.
• Work closely with industrial and functional design views from early stages through serial production and up to in-service life, collaborating across Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and other disciplines throughout the product lifecycle.
• Understand organization, infrastructure, constraints and limitations of program industrial planning.
• Understand global systems/products and their interdependencies during industrialisation phase.
• Acquire technological expertise to ensure efficient solutions from concept to in-service operation.
• Stay up to date with state-of-the-art Navigation Systems technology.

Required Skills

• Educated to degree level in Engineering.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, Navigation, or Certification is appreciated.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Soft skills (communication, teamwork, problem solving).
