Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
A leading insurance company is seeking a CFO to guide our financial strategy and support our growth. As a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Co-CEOs, you will ensure long-term sustainability and scalability, aligning with our mission. This high-impact role requires a strategic financial leader who can drive performance, make data-driven decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Mission:
Ensure financial sustainability and scalability by leading financial strategy with a long-term vision and driving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Leadership: Define and implement global financial strategies aligned with growth goals. Serve as a key advisor to the Co-CEOs and Executive Board. Promote a data- and results-oriented mindset to pursue growth while maintaining financial stability.
- Planning, Control & Reporting: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Deliver clear financial reports to stakeholders. Oversee accounting, tax compliance, cash flow, and regulatory reporting.
- Business Partnering & Scalability: Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and growth teams to guide strategic decisions. Evaluate new business opportunities. Optimize costs and automate processes.
- Financial Operations & Controls: Oversee settlement and reconciliation processes with insurance carriers. Manage monthly financial reconciliation and settlements.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with standards and laws. Develop risk management frameworks. Uphold integrity, ethics, and transparency.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in senior finance roles, preferably in scaleups, insurtechs, or digital-first companies.
- Proven experience in corporate finance, accounting, analysis, and strategic planning.
- Experience in high-growth environments.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Analytical, proactive, and collaborative mindset with a global outlook.
- Ability to lead through uncertainty and build high-performing teams.
Schedule & Location:
Full-time, flexible hours (7.5 hours/day). 100% remote, based in Barcelona (candidates must be Spanish residents with legal work authorization).
