Front End/ Full Stack Engineering Manager (Singapore based, relocation provided) – Agoda

We are seeking a hands-on Development Manager to lead one or more engineering teams responsible for front-end, back-end, and mobile applications within Agoda's highly scaled web products and mobile platforms. The role emphasizes strong technical leadership, ownership of mission critical systems, and people development.

Project focus : Building advanced customer-facing AI-powered bots to elevate user experiences across multiple platforms. Bots aim to simplify the pre-booking journey with quick, accurate responses, aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ownership and responsibility of mission critical systems.
  • Guide one or more Agile teams to success.
  • Engage in full stack, server, and mobile app engineering; guide server, client, and infrastructure staff to the best solutions.
  • Directly manage between 5 and 10 technology professionals and be responsible for their performance.

What you’ll Need to Succeed

  • At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams of 3 or more people; 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficient with front-end web client-side technologies (React, Redux, JavaScript, SASS, performance optimization).
  • Knowledge in back-end development, with experience in Kotlin and/or Python preferred.
  • Knowledge of scale, microservices and clean architecture.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or quantitative field; M.S. preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Machine Learning, GPT, prompt engineering and other AI project experience.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or related AI/ML technologies is a significant plus.
