JOB DESCRIPTION

Howden Iberia, the third largest broker in Spain. Is currently recruiting a junior Broker to join their Reinsurance team in Madrid.

Job Mission:

Their role will include providing a transversal support to the Facultative Reinsurance department . They will support the department's executives in the development of commercial activities, the acquisition of new business and the maintenance of the current portfolio in accordance with the Company's existing business model. They must comply with the established internal work systems in order to achieve the commercial objectives assigned to them.

Duties:

As a Junior Broker, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Collection and analysis of data necessary for the preparation of market submissions and presentations.
• Meet deadlines, review policies and follow up on incidents
• Liaising with clients to validate data received. Responding to Reinsurers questions on all data elements
• Liaising with claims and premiums functions within Howden to validate information
• Technical and administrative support for the Account Executive team in placing and servicing Facultative Reinsurance.
• Generation and review of contractual documentation (including contract wordings, endorsements, invoices, and evidence of cover)
• Resolution of queries received from clients and reinsurers – liaising with colleagues within other departments and local offices as necessary

Requirements:

• High level of IT competency; high level in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Data analysis abilities, including identifying errors and resolution
• High level of English
• Excellent attention to detail
• Great communication skills
• Experience of working in a client-facing environment
• Technical (re)insurance knowledge preferred but minimum of 2 years’ experience working with (re)insurance portfolio data required.
