Overview

Instructional Designer (French Speaking) role at TransPerfect Learning. The eLearning Design Team collaborates on creating and delivering bespoke learning solutions for global companies. The team is part of the Learning department, which includes project managers, eLearning developers, and solutions architects. This posting is for a bilingual French/English speaker with a minimum of C1 level for both languages. This is an on-site position. This posting is for an experienced Instructional Designer or Learning Experience Designer who can develop learning products in both English and French and communicate effectively with clients from some of the top corporate brand names in France. Responsibilities

Analyze learning needs to determine learning solutions that address knowledge and/or performance gaps in the target market. Author high-level design proposals, content outlines and job aids to ensure fit-for-purpose learning solutions that address identified gaps. Develop storyboards with detailed instructions for the development team using various authoring tools (mainly Articulate Storyline, Rise and ADAPT). Promote collaboration and relationships among participants and stakeholders (including clients) in a learning design project. Oversee project consistency during learning solution analysis, design, and development. Apply advanced adult learning theories to practical, application-based learning strategy. Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form to deliver engaging presentations to business leaders. Design learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners, including cultural differences that may apply. Support a team of freelance instructional designers (both English and French speakers).

Qualifications and Skills

BS or MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of adult learning principles and visual design principles. Experience working in an agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environment. Experience designing, developing, and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios with multiple branching elements (strongly preferred). Proficiency with industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360 and ADAPT). Strong organizational skills with the ability to deliver projects on time and estimate efforts for upcoming projects; comfortable with productivity tools. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Excellent (C1 CEFR level) communication skills in both English and French. Inquisitive personality driven by curiosity and the desire to learn and share knowledge. Portfolio of work.
