About The Role And Our Team
We're seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Trust & Safety squad. If you're passionate about creating elegant, scalable software and thrive in a data-driven, agile environment, this could be your next big adventure. Our Trust & Safety teams are dedicated to building a safe and secure environment for our users, protecting them from harm, fraud, and abuse.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve tools that enable TKWW’s Trust and Safety teams to protect our users and our platform.
- Develop user-facing security features that protect from bad actors, and search for creative solutions to common abuse problems.
- Partner with other internal teams to build products to improve their day-to-day processes, ensuring operational success.
- Engage in coding, architectural design, and technical problem-solving.
- Collaborate with other engineering squads to ensure systems are performant, discoverable, and aligned with the policies.
- Ensure quality and maintainability by following software development best practices, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate globally with remote and international engineering teams to deliver reliable and cohesive solutions.
Successful Candidates Have
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications or APIs.
- Deep knowledge of web development using React, Next.js, NodeJS and/or PHP.
- Proven ability to design and implement distributed system design utilizing both relational and non-relational data stores.
- Background in integrating third-party solutions and navigating diverse vendor APIs.
- A track record of shipping successful consumer-facing products within an Agile based environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort speaking English, participating in meetings, and giving presentations.
- Thrives in a collaborative work culture with teammates located in-office or remote.
- Prior work in Trust & Safety is a big plus.
Work Model
This role is and based near one of our office hubs. Starting September 15, 2025, you’ll be expected to work in the office two days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
