Job Duties

As our Associate Commercial Counsel , you will provide strategic direction and leadership to the Contract Management process and team, and manage legal risk in the English and French contracts KONE enters into with its customers and vendors. Ability to manage high volume of contracts and prioritize based on customer need.

You will bring 5+ years of progressive and successful experience working with commercial contracts in a corporate or law firm setting and strong negotiation skills handling complex contract requirements. You will use the knowledge gained through your bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) and Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from an accredited Canadian law school or equivalent. Must be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario and/or Québec.

• Manage workload in a sufficient manner to meet all assigned due dates.
• Understanding of contract management processes and ability to advise accordingly.
• Ability to maintain high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
• Demonstrate the highest level of personal and professional ethical conduct and confidentiality. Understanding of legal concepts, terms and negotiation issues.
• Understanding of all KONE products and services including branch related issues, shipping schedules and installation issues that are typically identified within contracts.

Annual Base Pay Range

The hiring range for this role is $124,000 – $170,500.
