Valmet is looking for an Expert On-line to join our team in Bologna on a 1-year temporary contract. The role involves promptly receiving customer requests related to machinery issues, verifying, and resolving problems remotely. After on-the-job training, the role works independently to complete assigned tasks.

Key responsibilities:

• Collect customer requests related to issues to be resolved
• Provide remote assistance and customer support to resolve issues
• Supervise and update software and working parameters
• Update online machinery software
• Develop and propose services, transforming customer requests into performance improvements
• Maintain proactive service on installed machinery

Requirements:

• Degree in Automation Engineering or Informatics
• At least 1 year of experience as a programmer or software designer
• Fluent in English and Italian; Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of Siemens Step 7, Tia Portal, Motion, Sinamics, HMI WinCC, Data network transmission: Profibus, Profinet
• Willing to travel up to 25%
• Available for shift work and on-call duties
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
