HR Transformation Project Manager – Amcor

Job Purpose
As the HR Transformation Project Manager you will drive the transformation program spanning people, process and technology, ensuring measurable improvements in efficiency, consistency and employee experience.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead the planning, execution and delivery of HR transformation initiatives.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage budgets, timelines and track milestones.
- Oversee interdependent workstreams to ensure cohesive and timely delivery.
- Use waterfall, Agile and iterative methods to enable cross‑network progress.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies, tools and governance practices.
Governance, Risk & Reporting
- Establish governance structures such as Steering Committees and Design Authorities.
- Identify, assess and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including RAID logs, trackers and dashboards.
- Provide regular updates, reports and insights to senior leadership and project sponsors.
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Partner with leadership to define transformation vision and success measures.
- Build high‑performing project teams and network‑based relationships.
- Engage regional HR teams, Centers of Excellence and Shared Services for alignment and adoption.
- Collaborate with change management and communications teams to deliver effective change plans, stakeholder and customer communications and training initiatives.
- Influence and build trust with key stakeholders to maintain engagement and commitment.
Continuous Improvement
- Support post‑implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and embed continuous improvement.
- Contribute to building a culture of operational excellence within HR.
Qualifications / Requirements
Mandatory
- 5–10 years of experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects or programs.
- Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives across people, process and technology domains.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Monday.com, Smartsheet or Wrike.
- Excel based RAID logs and PowerPoint governance presentations and engagement slides.
- Fluent in English, with exceptional communication, facilitation and relationship‑building skills across all organizational levels.
Nice to have
- Professional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
- Strong understanding of HR operating models, shared services and digital HR technologies (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
- Background in management consulting or experience leading enterprise transformations in large, global organizations.
