Mechanical Field Service Engineer – Centrifugal Compressors

Join Baker Hughes as a Mechanical Field Service Engineer tasked with leading the repair, overhaul, troubleshooting, and commissioning of centrifugal compressor products at customer sites. You will serve as the first point of contact for global customers on-site, ensuring HSE compliance and high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to internal teams and skilled labor for site activities, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality.
• Oversee overhaul, troubleshooting, and commissioning of centrifugal compressor products at customer sites.
• Lead customer and contractor meetings to share action plans and advise on technical solutions.
• Maintain internal training, compliance, and quality documentation in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Experience in a mechanical role within the energy, oil and gas, or similar environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and experience leading customers through tough decisions.
• Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.
• Deep awareness of HSE compliance and risk management.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to make decisions and innovate solutions.
• Command of written and spoken English.
• EU passport or European work permit.
