Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS solutions, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and DevOps practices to maintain our cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring that our digital platforms are scalable, secure, and cost‑optimized while maintaining operational excellence through automated deployment pipelines.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Implement FinOps best practices to reduce infrastructure spending
  • Implement automated cost monitoring, alerting, and governance frameworks
  • Develop and maintain Terraform modules and configurations for all AWS infrastructure components
  • Establish Terraform best practices, state management strategies, and module reusability standards
  • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability
  • Support Dev team in Cloud Operations activities

Qualifications Required

  • At least 6 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a minimum of 3 years focused on cloud technologies
  • Experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure provisioning and management
  • DevOps background with hands‑on experience in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, VPC, Route 53, IAM, Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor)
  • Experience with ECS/EKS optimization and container orchestration in AWS Cloud environment
  • Good practical Linux and Windows‑based systems administration skills in a cloud environment
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Associate Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator) are highly preferred
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification is a strong plus
  • Experience with additional IaC tools (CloudFormation, Pulumi, CDK)
  • Knowledge of FinOps frameworks and cost management tools (AWS Cost and Usage Reports, third‑party tools like CloudHealth, Cloudability)
  • Experience with security scanning and compliance tools (AWS Config, Security Hub, third‑party tools)
  • Background in a similar role within the technology or edTech sectors
  • Experience in a small team or startup environment where cost efficiency is critical
  • Familiarity with multi‑cloud strategies and hybrid cloud architectures
