We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive the development and positioning of our cutting-edge renewable energy solutions.

Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer, Market Research, will play a pivotal role in the development, deployment, and support of our renewable energy monitoring and control solutions. This position is focused on driving projects from conception through execution, ensuring solutions are both market-relevant and technically sound. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the engineer will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot field challenges, and gather real-world insights to refine and enhance our products. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise and practical experience in renewable energy systems, with a strong commitment to project success, customer satisfaction, and continuous product improvement.

Key responsibilities:

Project Fulfillment & Implementation Support

• Act as a technical lead on market research projects to ensure that product designs and functionalities align with client requirements and industry standards;
• Collaborate with project teams to define technical requirements, specifications, and timelines for new renewable energy solutions;
• Provide hands-on support during project phases, including design, development, testing, and deployment, to ensure project goals are met on time and on budget;

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Deliver technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers on renewable energy monitoring, control, and asset management products;
• Identify, analyze, and resolve product-related technical issues in the field, collaborating with engineering teams to implement effective solutions;
• Document and report technical challenges encountered in projects, working with development teams to drive continuous improvements and optimize system performance;

Product Development & Testing

• Work closely with Product Development to apply market insights in the design and development of new features or products, ensuring solutions are technically sound and meet user needs;
• Participate in hands-on testing of new products and features, evaluating their performance, reliability, and alignment with customer requirements;
• Contribute to prototype development and field testing of new or improved renewable energy solutions, providing detailed feedback for further refinement;

Customer & Field Feedback Integration

• Collect, analyze, and integrate feedback from customers and field operations to refine product features and improve overall user experience;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements based on field data and ensure that solutions address real-world operational challenges;
• Conduct regular follow-ups with customers post-implementation to gather insights and ensure high levels of satisfaction and product efficacy;

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including installation guides, troubleshooting manuals, and system performance reports;
• Train internal teams and external customers on new products and solutions, delivering practical knowledge on setup, usage, and maintenance;
• Maintain and update documentation as products evolve, ensuring clear and accurate resources for end-users and internal support teams;

Operational Strategy & Product Roadmap Contribution

• Support the development of a product roadmap by providing operational insights and identifying product improvement areas based on field data;
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to prioritize development efforts that enhance project outcomes, reduce operational risks, and meet client expectations;
• Stay informed about advancements in renewable energy monitoring and control technologies to incorporate best practices into our solution;

Qualifications

You'll receive a positive evaluation in case you have:

• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles related to renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and energy storage;
• Proficient in diagnostic and troubleshooting tools and adept in data analysis software (e.g., Python, R, Matlab simulink) for operational insights and performance analysis;
• Hands-on experience with product testing, prototype evaluation, and providing technical support during project phases;
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field;
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on hands-on project work, technical support, and product development in renewable energy systems;
• Proven experience in supporting project delivery, troubleshooting, and optimizing renewable energy monitoring, control, or asset management solutions in the field;
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical insights from fieldwork into practical product enhancements;

Industry Knowledge:

• Deep knowledge of renewable energy industry standards, regulatory requirements, and market demands;
• Familiarity with real-world applications of renewable energy solutions, particularly in remote monitoring, asset management, and IoT-based control systems;

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree or certifications in renewable energy, data science, or a related technical field;
• Field experience with IoT devices, smart grid technologies, or remote monitoring platforms;
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and tools;
