🚀 Component Engineer

As part of the development of Abylsen Italy, specialized in IT, Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant) and Energy, we are looking for a Component Engineer in the defense sector to integrate our team of consultants and bring your expertise on all our projects.

What is the challenge?

MAIN ACTIVITIES :

• Monitor and assess the lifecycle status of electronic and mechanical components to identify obsolescence risks.
• Propose and implement mitigation strategies such as last-time buys, alternative sourcing, or redesign solutions.
• Collaborate with procurement, design, and quality teams to ensure continuity of supply and compliance with technical requirements.
• Maintain and update obsolescence databases and tools, providing regular reports and recommendations to project stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in roles such as Quality Engineer or Configuration Engineer , preferably in industrial or manufacturing contexts
• Good command of IT tools, in particular SAP and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in the management of technical data and documentation.
• Fluency in Italian and English
