Overview

Business Development Manager, Europe South β€” remote role covering Spain, Portugal & Italy. Part of the Cell and Gene Therapy Team; report to the Sales Manager - Europe. Responsibilities include identifying and developing revenue-generating opportunities across the assigned territory and supporting product and service improvements through customer feedback.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect and close new business opportunities in biotech, pharma, academic and government organizations in the assigned territory, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and yearly KPIs and goals
  • Manage opportunity and sales pipeline data in CRM, providing accurate and up-to-date forecasts and visibility into new revenue opportunities
  • Understand clients’ visions, strategies, and organizational structure and relay feedback to Product Management and Operations regarding new service opportunities and updates to products, services and processes
  • Deliver presentations to clients on the full offering at senior levels within the client organization
  • Develop territory and business development plans and adjust sales strategies to generate revenue growth in the assigned territory
Essential Requirements
  • University degree in Biotechnology or Biology OR several years of client-facing sales experience in the cell and gene therapy industry
  • 5 years sales experience
  • Broad technical understanding in molecular and cell biology, with knowledge of biotherapeutics including nucleic acids, gene editing, DNA plasmids, mRNA therapeutics, viral vector technologies, CAR-T, etc.
  • Experience developing territory and business development plans to expand the business and generate incremental revenue with new clients
  • Willingness to travel across the geographic area of responsibility; travel to the USA for yearly meetings and trainings when necessary
  • Fluent in English; Spanish and Italian fluency is an advantage
Nice to have
  • Experience with the unique regulatory and quality requirements for the region
