Remote-based in Italy or Germany, with travel across Europe as needed. Reports to the Technical Support Manager in an international environment.

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist who will provide second-level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention. You will apply critical thinking to rapidly repair instrumentation, train our customers and Service Engineers, and support the Applications Team while verifying the operational performance and data quality of systems for the broader commercial organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level technical support for Automation Platforms to customers in Europe.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot instrumentation issues, rapidly repair systems, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Train customers and Service Engineers; support the Applications Team; verify operational performance and data quality of systems.
• Install and maintain automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and standalone laboratory environments.
• Operate independently in Italy/Germany and Europe as needed (overnight travel may be required).
• Collaborate with the team to share standard methodologies, mentor colleagues, and provide support as needed.

Qualifications

• Biomedical engineer or equivalent; at least 5 years of Technical Support or Field Service experience in the Diagnostics market.
• Early career candidates with troubleshooting experience from thesis or internships are welcome.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to travel within the country and to other European countries; valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work different shifts or flexible hours as needed.
