About the Role
We are partnered with a leading property maintenance firm, seeking two Bid Writers to join their busy Bid Team. Reporting directly to the Bid Team Lead, you’ll drive the creation of high-quality tenders, PQQs, and other bid responses that win work and help them expand our portfolio across public and private sectors.
What You’ll Do
- Develop persuasive, compliant bid responses: executive summaries, case studies, capability statements, technical & commercial content.
- Interpret tender documents, understand scoring criteria, assess risk/opportunity, and advise on strategy.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Technical, Finance teams to gather necessary inputs.
- Maintain and grow their bid library of templates, pre-written content, best practices.
- Review, edit and polish content to ensure clarity, brand consistency, and impact.
- Manage multiple bid projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and coordinating versions.
- Learn from past bids: capture lessons, improve future responses.
About You
Essential:
- Proven bid/tender writing experience — ideally in property maintenance, construction, facilities management or similar.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills; meticulous proofreading and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex briefs and shape winning responses.
- Organised, able to juggle several bids at once; work under pressure.
- Self-motivated and disciplined for remote working; good team player for in-office days.
Desirable:
- Experience with public sector tenders (housing associations, local councils etc.).
- Formal bid/tendering qualification or training (e.g. APMP).
- Familiarity with procurement portals / tender management tools.
- Some commercial or cost modelling exposure.
- Understanding of social value and how to incorporate it into bids.
