🚀 Carbon Manager

We’re partnered with a leading Tier 1 UK infrastructure organisation who are seeking a forward-thinking Carbon Manager to join its Regional Civils Division to shape the sustainability strategy behind nationally significant projects, from highways and flood defences to coastal protection and pedestrian-friendly urban schemes.

You’ll be the carbon subject matter expert, guiding teams, influencing senior leaders, and embedding best practices in PAS2080 compliance, bid support, and carbon accounting. This will be a hybrid role, working on projects across England and Wales.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Strategic Leadership – Drive carbon and environmental integration across major civil engineering projects.
• Expert Guidance – Advise delivery teams and clients on reducing emissions and improving sustainability outcomes.
• Framework Development – Build and implement carbon strategies aligned with industry standards and net zero goals.
• Boardroom Influence – Engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
• National Reach – Support diverse infrastructure schemes across England and Wales.

Who They’re Looking For:

• Carbon Specialist – Experience in environmental or sustainability roles within infrastructure or construction.
• Framework Fluent – Skilled in PAS2080, GHG Protocol, and carbon accounting methodologies.
• Impact-Driven – Proven success in delivering measurable sustainability improvements.
• Strong Communicator – Able to influence and collaborate across technical and executive teams.
• Professionally Qualified – IEMA, CEnv, or equivalent credentials are a plus.
