About the Role

We’re recruiting for a Senior Delivery Manager to take a lead role in overseeing the company’s pre-construction and delivery operations. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for managing a high-volume portfolio of over 400 electricity infrastructure projects annually, ensuring each is delivered safely, profitably, and in line with both regulatory and commercial objectives.

You’ll head up a team of Pre-Construction Managers and work closely with design, estimating, and project delivery teams to drive performance, process consistency, and growth across the portfolio. This role also plays a key part in aligning operational excellence with private equity expectations for scalability and transparency.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and develop a team of Pre-Construction Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Drive team engagement and professional development across multiple locations.

Project Portfolio Oversight

• Manage the successful delivery of 400+ new connection projects per year.
• Oversee programme milestones, ICP relationships, and CPO stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain visibility and control across all active schemes through effective reporting, documentation, and risk management.

Financial & Commercial Control

• Own departmental budgets, purchase approvals, and CVR reporting.
• Monitor project cash flow, asset values, and claims linked to milestone payments.
• Provide accurate revenue and performance updates to senior leadership and investors.

Process Development & Governance

• Develop operational procedures to maintain NERS accreditation and strengthen compliance.
• Drive innovation in project reporting systems, revenue assurance, and data governance.
• Support private equity expectations for transparency, scalability, and profitability.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a senior point of contact for developers, contractors, adopting networks, and regulators.
• Represent the business at a senior level with professionalism and technical authority.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in an ICP or IDNO environment, managing multi-disciplinary teams and large project portfolios.
• Strong understanding of electricity networks, regulatory frameworks, and NERS compliance.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, commercial reporting, and cash flow.
• Skilled in implementing process improvements and operational systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to operate hands-on in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Leadership & Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Relevant project management or technical certification.
