Fire Stopping & Fire Doors Site Supervisor β Job Description
Location: London & South East London (some travel required)
Contract Type: Long-term Contract (3-month rolling)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (paid weekly, every Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
V7 Recruitment is representing an industry-leading fire protection contractor who specialises in active and passive fire safety solutions . Due to a strong pipeline of secured projects, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Stopping & Fire Doors Site Supervisor to oversee works across London and the South East.
This is a long-term contract opportunity with ongoing work for the right individual, offering stability, excellent site autonomy, and a chance to join a growing business thatβs rapidly expanding across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Coordination
- Oversee daily site operations for fire stopping and fire door installation works.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant standards (including FIRAS/BM TRADA requirements).
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring quality and productivity targets are met.
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure full adherence to health & safety procedures.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct inspections of works in progress and completed installations.
- Complete and maintain accurate project records, reports, and photographic evidence using site management systems.
- Identify defects or non-conformances and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Liaise closely with the Project Manager to ensure compliance with technical and contractual obligations.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience supervising fire stopping and/or fire door installation projects.
- Strong understanding of fire safety compliance , BM TRADA , and FIRAS standards.
- Excellent site management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to travel across London and the South East as required.
- Valid SMSTS/SSSTS , CSCS , and First Aid certification preferred.
