Fire Stopping & Fire Doors Site Supervisor – Job Description


Location: London & South East London (some travel required)

Contract Type: Long-term Contract (3-month rolling)

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Rate: Competitive Day Rate (paid weekly, every Friday)

Start Date: ASAP


V7 Recruitment is representing an industry-leading fire protection contractor who specialises in active and passive fire safety solutions . Due to a strong pipeline of secured projects, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Stopping & Fire Doors Site Supervisor to oversee works across London and the South East.


This is a long-term contract opportunity with ongoing work for the right individual, offering stability, excellent site autonomy, and a chance to join a growing business that’s rapidly expanding across multiple regions.


Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Coordination

  • Oversee daily site operations for fire stopping and fire door installation works.
  • Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant standards (including FIRAS/BM TRADA requirements).
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring quality and productivity targets are met.
  • Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure full adherence to health & safety procedures.


Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct inspections of works in progress and completed installations.
  • Complete and maintain accurate project records, reports, and photographic evidence using site management systems.
  • Identify defects or non-conformances and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Liaise closely with the Project Manager to ensure compliance with technical and contractual obligations.


Key Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising fire stopping and/or fire door installation projects.
  • Strong understanding of fire safety compliance , BM TRADA , and FIRAS standards.
  • Excellent site management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel across London and the South East as required.
  • Valid SMSTS/SSSTS , CSCS , and First Aid certification preferred.
