Senior Procurement Officer – Renewable Energy

Location: Liverpool (Hybrid)

Employment: Permanent

Salary: £70,000 DOE

A leading renewable energy Independent Power Producer with operations across Europe is expanding its UK team. They boast an impressive 25GW pipeline spanning wind, solar, and storage. Their mission is simple — to invest in sustainable energy solutions that deliver tangible benefits for people and the planet.

The Role

You’ll lead procurement activities across multiple renewable energy projects — managing suppliers, contracts, and delivery schedules to ensure equipment and materials are sourced efficiently and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed procurement plans for key electrical equipment (cables, switchgear, transformers, etc.)
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve best-value outcomes
• Manage supplier relationships and performance throughout project delivery
• Oversee stock and inventory levels to ensure optimal cost and project readiness
• Ensure compliance with UK procurement law, internal policies, and quality standards
• Provide data-driven insights and spend analysis to support decision-making
• Coordinate logistics and delivery to ensure smooth operations between suppliers and project sites
• Support contract management, including performance monitoring and variation control
• Advise project and engineering teams on procurement best practices

About You

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar
• 3+ years’ experience in project-based procurement
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems or large infrastructure projects
