About the Role

As an Estimator at Had-Fab, you’ll play a key role in converting customer enquiries into successful business proposals. Working as part of a close-knit team led by the Commercial Manager, you’ll prepare competitive quotes, liaise with suppliers and customers, and ensure all tenders are accurate, timely, and commercially sound.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tender bids using drawings, specifications, and client data.
• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide value-added solutions.
• Source pricing from suppliers and contractors to ensure competitive, high-quality proposals.
• Coordinate and maintain all documentation throughout the bid process.
• Maximise value while controlling costs and delivery timelines.
• Prepare quotation letters and clarifications where required.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams including Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Production.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the estimating function.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong technical understanding of fabrication processes and customer specifications.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ideally ERP systems.
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost-modelling skills.
• Confident communicator with a collaborative mindset and a drive to deliver results.
• Previous experience in a steel fabrication, engineering, or construction environment preferred.
