Senior Sous Chef – Luxury Venue near Maidstone, Kent

We’re seeking an experienced and creative Senior Sous Chef to join the team at a stunning hospitality venue set in the Kent countryside. You’ll support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations, maintaining exceptional culinary standards, and inspiring a passionate team to deliver memorable dining experiences for every guest.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes across breakfast, lunch, and event services
• Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to ensure consistency and excellence
• Maintain impeccable food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Contribute to menu development, showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients
• Support stock control, ordering, and kitchen administration
• Step up to cover Head Chef duties in their absence

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef in a quality hotel, restaurant, or event venue
• A passion for modern British cuisine and locally sourced produce
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A calm, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding food
• Due to the rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential
