Project Manager - Technical Assurance


Amazing opportunity to join a Managing Consultancy focused on their major projects division on Utilities projects, including Diversions, Reservoirs and new infrastructure schemes.


  • Location: Watford
  • Hybrid working: Home-based 4 days a week / 1 day a week in the client’s office.
  • Salary: ÂŁ65,000 – ÂŁ75,000 + Travel + Package


The Opportunity:

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a project management consultancy who are delivering strategic infrastructure programmes across the Civil Engineering / Infrastructure sector. key projects including two of the UK’s largest new reservoir projects, Several Water treatment plants across the South East region, HS2 and other large infrastructure schemes.


You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team helping guide these schemes through the different phases, from Development Consent Order (DCO) and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase through to Technical Assurance and Quality control.


Ensuring they are designed, consented, and delivered to world-class standards of safety, sustainability, and technical excellence. With a technical focus, this role will change depending on the project and stage of the programme, for example, with HS2 being live, it's more about Technical Assurance and Quality control.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate civil infrastructure project delivery activities across feasibility, design, and early delivery phases.
  • Manage planning, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory submissions for DCO and ECI stages.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary teams (engineering, environmental, and commercial), ensuring delivery to agreed milestones.
  • Support buildability and value-engineering reviews in collaboration with design and construction partners.
  • Interface with client and contractor teams to align technical, commercial, and environmental outcomes.
  • Contribute to risk, programme, and cost management through proactive reporting and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with national environmental standards and water-sector regulations.


Flexibility is key as we are recruiting for several positions, and depending on your experience, you could be suitable for 1 or more projects. Although all the Projects are based in the South East of the UK, and if you need to lodge away, this is all expensed. However you need to be living in the South East / Home Counties region to be considered for this position.


Desired Experienced

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in working on larger ÂŁ50m+ projects
  • Technical experience, be it coming from Design or Technical Assurance.
  • Full driving license.
